The General AV Technician performs Basic Delivery, Setup, Grip Work and Striking/Breakdown.

Competencies and Proficiency Scale: Basic

Skill Level Classification: Class 1

The General AV Technician has the level of experience gained in a classroom or as a trainee on-the-job, and can perform basic AV tasks such as:

    • Provides basic assistance for audio visual setups to ensure successful customer events
    • Setup Projectors, Monitors/TVs, and Projector Screens according to blueprints
    • Load-In/Load Out and contributes in strike
    • Run cables and proper connections

AV Tech labor is at a minimum of 4 blocks (hours) and calculated by Standard, Time and One Half, or Double Time

 


7am – 6pm, Monday through Saturday = Standard Time
6pm – Midnight, Monday through Saturday = Time and One Half
Midnight – 7am, Monday through Saturday = Double Time
Sunday = Time and One Half
Holidays = Double Time
